Often the content is already correct and the problem is visual. A user might want to improve hierarchy, make the slide more visual, simplify the layout, or bring several inconsistent slides closer to the same design language.

We wanted to see whether each product could explore alternatives without forcing the user to rewrite the underlying content.

Prezi

In the illustrated example, a user asks Prezi to redesign the second slide in a different style, and Prezi reports updating it. The editor also shows per-slide controls. This demonstrates a targeted design change, but the example does not test redesigning several slides at once.

Finding the right image, icon, flag, map, or logo is a surprisingly large part of slide creation. It is also common for the first suggested visual not to be quite right.

Prezi’s AI documentation describes generating images, replacing visuals and searching for relevant alternatives. Its designer choices also establish a visual direction for the presentation. The supplied screenshots do not demonstrate a comparable contextual asset search, so they cannot support an asset-quality ranking.

For either tool, verify the relevance, permissions and accuracy of a visual before using it in a client presentation.

15. Does it keep everything natively editable in PowerPoint?

For professional users, a slide is only useful if they can keep working with it after the AI is done. A chart needs to behave like a chart, a table like a table, and text like normal editable PowerPoint text.

Editable text is only one part of the test. Check charts, tables, notes and fonts in the actual exported file.

Prezi offers PPTX export. The examples reviewed here do not show whether charts, tables and shapes remain editable as separate PowerPoint objects in that file. Check an exported deck before relying on it for ongoing PowerPoint work.

17. Where can you use the product?

The right platform depends heavily on where the team already builds presentations. Some organizations live entirely in PowerPoint; others rely on Google Slides; and increasingly, users also expect to start work in a browser.

Prezi supports browser-based creation, a zooming presentation view and slide-based output. Its documentation also describes desktop-based offline presentation downloads. These are presentation-delivery options, not an AI editing add-in inside PowerPoint.

Presentation software is difficult to evaluate from a marketing page. Users need to test it with their own slides, their own templates, and their own real-world editing tasks.

Prezi’s illustrated Basic plan offers a free starting point with public content and limited AI credits. Paid tiers add privacy options, and Premium lists priority technical support. The account support screenshot shows billing-help options, but it does not measure human response time or resolution quality.

Slidely AI

Slidely AI offers a $0 plan with limited credits supplied at signup and no credit expiry. Free access does not mean unlimited generation; PowerPoint add-in access is listed as a 15-day trial.

Its published annual-billing prices include Pro at $16 per month and Max at $80 per month. Support commitments and usage limits vary by plan. Confirm current terms before purchasing.

Both tools provide a way to start without purchasing a paid plan. Prezi’s illustrated Basic tier is public, so teams should check privacy before using client material. Slidely remains our preferred evaluation route for PowerPoint work. Neither the pricing screen nor the support chat establishes better service overall.

19. How well does it support enterprise deployment, model control, and security?

For a large organization, check the actual SOC 2 report and scope, GDPR terms and data-processing agreement, SSO and employee administration, where presentation data is processed, whether a private deployment is available, and who controls the model endpoint. A marketing claim alone does not establish how those controls apply to your contract.

Prezi

Prezi’s public security page says it has completed an independent SOC 2 Type 2 audit; it offers the report upon request to Prezi Business subscribers who sign an NDA. The report itself is not public evidence reviewed here. The same page links to GDPR guidance and directs buyers to sales for a privacy whitepaper. Its Teams material and support documentation describe content controls, brand management and SAML SSO. Those are meaningful enterprise controls, but the reviewed materials do not establish a customer VPC deployment or use of an organization’s own LLM endpoint.

Slidely AI

Slidely AI’s pricing page lists SOC 2 Type 2 compliance and VPC deployment among its enterprise features; its enterprise page also displays GDPR and SOC 2 Type II assurances. Its Enterprise documentation describes integration with organizational LLM endpoints, giving a potential path to control model infrastructure as well as where the product runs. These are published features and assurances, not a substitute for reviewing the actual report, contractual data-processing terms, network boundaries and model setup for your organization. Confirm availability with sales; they should not be assumed to apply to a self-serve account.

Both vendors publish security assurances; Prezi says eligible business subscribers can request its SOC 2 report. The distinction in this score is Slidely’s published VPC deployment and organizational-LLM options, which we did not verify as available from Prezi. This is not a blanket security ranking: request both vendors’ current audit reports, GDPR/data-processing terms and architecture details before procurement.

20. Can it work with ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI assistants?

More presentation work is beginning upstream in general-purpose AI tools. A user might research an industry in ChatGPT, analyze documents in Claude, or build an internal agent and then want that system to create or update a presentation.

MCP makes it possible for presentation software to become part of these broader AI workflows rather than requiring every task to begin inside the presentation application itself.

The supplied Prezi integration screen lists Webex, Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Those are meeting and presentation-delivery integrations, not evidence of a ChatGPT or Claude connector. We did not verify an official Prezi MCP server in the reviewed materials. Using AI within Prezi is also distinct from controlling it through an external assistant.

Slidely AI

Slidely AI publishes 17 MCP tools for creating presentations, importing existing PowerPoint files, applying design systems and continuing work through presentation chats.

Its tools also expose layout selection, slide-batch review and confirmation of deletions or reordering. The review experience depends on what the connected client supports.

Slidely is our preference when an assistant needs to create or maintain a PowerPoint deck through exposed editing and review tools. Prezi’s illustrated meeting integrations are useful for presenting, but do not demonstrate the same workflow. An unverified Prezi MCP connection should not be presented as an available feature.
